LINKFEST!: Christmas wishlist (translated)

Last week someone at work asked me what I would like for Christmas. Problem: 1) I don't really officially celebrate Christmas (no problem if it weren't for #2), 2) I don't really like this person, and 3) the last thing I need is to buy them something. But maybe what I should have asked for is a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. In Red. (Festive colours are on sale this time of year).

But really, when I come to think about it, I have a lot of stuff. More than I can fit into my room. More than I can fit into my house.

So what do I really want for Christmas*? Well let's say I win the lottery this week, and instead of buying of a new house to fit all my new stuff into, I decide to spend the money on something else... this is what my wishlist would look like (pre- and post- my less-stuff-resolution):

Anthropologie Automaton Robot Necklace: $398  =  4 Nights at Hotel de Nesle in Paris: $ 392

Deena & Ozzy Oxford Wedge: $58     =    3 Weeks of Lindy Hop Classes: $42.5

ReclaimTheThrone Pouf Footstool: $200    =    Tasting Menu for one at The Fat Duck: $230

yellowfield7 French Cloche: $240     =    5-Day Unlimited Japan Rail Pass : $230

luckymebeads Cameo Necklace: $60     =      Guggenheim Membership (NYC/Venice): $75

now I have no idea what I would do with many of these things, but here's one useful last one...

(and this one's for you RocM)

One KitchenAid Stand Mixer (in Red): $545      =    15 x Oxfam's Teach A Teacher: $42

*Seeing that I "don't really officially" celebrate, this list is purely theoretical. Unless some of yous have money to burn and feel a sudden surge of affection for yours truly...
